On December Seventh i finished my front cover for my music magazine. I called my music magazine 'SHH!' with the strape line of 'turn up the volume'
I choose to use bright colours instead of dark ones, my main colours where yellow and red.
There are only three images on my front cover, with plenty of text. There was competition infomation at the bottom of the page.
I finished my contents page on the 17th of December, i used a main image of the female from my band, and then had small images of other bands and solo artists. my text was white, with black highlighter around it and a white background.
On The 16th of December i completed my double page spread. my first page was a a4 size photo of the band 'the spotted stripes' which a small itroduction to them. the second page is consist of photos and an interview with the band.
I think that both your contents and your front cover is really good. i like how you have a large picture as your contents page as it shows what you have done for your double page spread clearly. i think that the text used is appropriate and looks good. for your front cover i really liked the picture you took.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Front Page, I think the name of the magazine, and I think the colours look really young and loud. I think your contents page is really good too, really strong and bright images. And it stuck to the theme of the front cover.

i like how the masthead contrasts with your strapline, and how the colours all match, i.e. the red of the girls clothes and the colour of the font.

ReplyDeleteI like the way it looks like you have to go down a tunnel to get to the girl in the photo. I also like the way that its not crammed with photos or coverline's but also its not too thin with them. I also like the way that you've called it Shh but the strapline is turn up the volume.
Would you could improve is the brightness of the colours to make them stand out more.

The way you have got another main picture with whats in the magazine at the side. Again I also like the way you have not got too few or too many photos.
You could improve on the boldness of 'Shh' and 'Contents'
Overall i think you have done really well.
